Tranquillity On Marius Heritage Day Spa

How to Spa - Frequently Asked Questions about Day Spas

Treatments for Relaxation, Exfoliation, Nourishing, Detoxifying or Revitalizing are available to choose from. Our therapists are able to assist with the perfect selection that best suits areas of concern.

Who can advise me on the spa treatment which is best for me?
Any of our staff are able to help you with your choice.

Should I make an appointment?
Yes it’s in your best interest to either phone or call into the day spa & reserve an appointment. Although we can sometimes accommodate “walk-ins,” Tranquillity is set up for pre-scheduled appointments. This is especially true, when you need a specific time or prefer a certain therapist for services. Appointments for services and packages can be reserved with a valid credit card number.

How far in advance should I schedule appointments?
Though we are able to schedule appointments on the same day of your call, we suggest scheduling two or three days in advance of your desired date. Keep in mind also that couples and group bookings take longer to coordinate, so you’ll probably want to allow a week or two for the best selection of times and services.

When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment, this allows you to complete your consultation form & enjoy a refreshment before commencing your treatment.

What if I arrive late for my appointment?
If you expect to be late for your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make any adjustments needed to keep you and our staff on schedule. Although we will do what we can to accommodate late arriving clients,
it will not always be possible for us to give a late client the entire appointment time, especially if the client is more than ten minutes late. Please note that the client is responsible for payment of the schedules service, not the time given.
In the case of a package, we will generally cut the service time of the first scheduled service to keep the other services on time. Again, the client is responsible for payment of the scheduled services.

What if my therapist is running late?
Unfortunately, sometimes timing issues occur that are beyond our control. When a service is late due to a therapist, we will make every attempt to give the client the full time. If timing issues for either party prevent this, we will make other arrangements to reschedule the appointment or resolve it to the client’s satisfaction.

What is your cancellation policy?
Effective June 1st 2006, Tranquillity Day Spa will require a credit card deposit or gift voucher number to guarantee appointments for services and packages. In the event of an appointment change or cancellation less than 24 hours or “no-show” for any or all services, the credit card or gift voucher on file will be charged a half fee for the group. This policy has been established to ensure that our therapists are compensated for the time they set aside for clients ahead of other clients. Without proper notice of cancellations, therapists are unable to rebook these appointments with other clients.

Do I need to make a deposit to guarantee the appointment?
Yes A valid credit card number or gift voucher number is necessary and placed on your file. Credit cards and gift vouchers will only be charged if client cancels without 24 hours notice or “no-shows’.

Once I see a certain therapist, am I required to see them exclusively?
No. While we certainly encourage our relationship building between each therapist and their regular clients, we encourage our customers to try working with different staff members. Each staff member has their own personality, style and specific areas of expertise, so it is only natural to want to request a person or persons who best suit your specific needs. At the end of the day, we want you to be happy with your services as well as your therapist.

Should I bring anything with me?
We provide fresh robes, disposable g-strings & disposable spa slippers along with any necessary linen.

Will I need to totally disrobe for a Spa Treatment?
For body treatments it is necessary although disposable underwear is provided.
Our therapists are fully trained to cover areas which are not involved in the treatment. Your privacy is assured at all times with only yourself & the therapist in the room.

Can I bring my mobile phone with me?
Yes, unfortunately all phones must be turned off when entering the building so as not to disturb yourself & other clients whilst having treatments.
Therapists are unable to stop treatments for clients to speak on mobiles as this then runs therapists late for their next appointment.

Should I tip my therapist?
While tipping is not required or expected, it is always appreciated by staff members. If you have received good service, you are welcome to show it by offering a gratuity to any staff member who assisted you.

How much should I tip?
This is totally up to you as an individual.

Do you offer refunds on retail merchandise or gift certificates?
It is our policy to exchange any product purchased for a full credit within a two week period of purchase provided that no more than 10 percent of the product has been used.

We do not offer refunds on gift certificate purchases, but will gladly transfer
the certificate to another individual with the return of the original gift certificate.

We do not exchange gift vouchers for cash.
